Hearty Meals for All hosts free community meal

On Friday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 pm, Hearty Meals for All will host its monthly free meal at the Community Baptist Church in Davis Square (31 College Ave).

Founded by Somerville residents and social workers Emily Bullen and Rebecca Gallo, Hearty Meals for All uses only fresh and natural ingredients and sources locally when it’s possible. Somerville businesses helping the cause include Dave’s Fresh Pasta, When Pigs Fly and Kick-Ass Cupcakes.

“This is a meal for everybody to attend,” said Bullen. “We’re not targeting one specific population. We want to create a sense of community, as well as getting people to feel comfortable coming to help us and eat with us.”

“Some of our offerings are vegetarian chili, squash, and chocolate chip cookies from Dave’s Fresh Pasta,” added Gallo.

Hearty Meals for All presenta comida de la comunidad gratuita

En Viernes, el 12 de Febrero a la 5:30 pm, Hearty Meals for All celebrara su comida gratuita mensual en el Community Baptist Church en Davis Square (31 College Ave).

Fundada por los residentes de Somerville y los trabajadores sociales Emily Bullen y Rebecca Gallo, Hearty Meals for All utiliza solo ingredientes frescos y naturales y las fuentes localmente cuando es posible. Algunas empresas de Somerville que ayudan a la causa son Dave’s Fresh Pasta, When Pigs Fly y Kick-Ass Cupcakes.

“Esto es una comida para todo el mundo para asistir,” dijo Bullen. “No estamos apuntando a una población especifica. Queremos crear un sentido de comunidad, así como lograr que la gente se sienta cómodo venir a ayudarnos y a comer con nosotros.”

“Alguna de nuestras ofertas son vegetarianos chile, calabaza, y galletas con chispas de chocolate de Dave’s Fresh Pasta,” añadió Gallo.
